Marco Jansen has been a pivotal figure in South Africa's campaign against Australia, contributing significantly with both bat and ball. His 85-run innings and a five-wicket haul have positioned the team strongly in the second Test. Jansen's efforts have drawn praise from former South African fast bowler Dale Steyn, who labeled him the best cricketer in the world.

Steyn's assertion is bolstered by Jansen's consistent performances in the series, which have been crucial for South Africa's position. The all-rounder's ability to impact the game in multiple ways has been evident, with his recent exploits against Australia supporting the claim. The Proteas are now close to a series-levelling victory following his contributions.
