Brydon Carse was arrested and later de-arrested in the early hours of 23 August following an incident outside a Derby nightclub. Derbyshire Police closed an investigation into allegations of assault with no action taken against the 31-year-old. The England and Wales Cricket Board's professional conduct regulations were reportedly breached.

The Cricket Regulator confirmed the charge on Friday, but Carse remains available for selection by England. The bowler has not featured in a match for the national team since the fifth Ashes Test in Sydney in January. His current status and future involvement with the team are yet to be determined.
